A website blocker for your child’s phone that respects their privacy.
Web Protection keeps harmful website categories away in every browser on your child’s Android phone. Kinuvo records only the sites it blocked, never where your child goes online.
Nine categories you control.
A new child starts with Web Protection on and Adult Content blocked. Turn on any others with a switch.
| Category | What it covers | New child |
|---|---|---|
| Adult Content | Pornography and explicit material | On |
| Violence | Graphic or disturbing content | Off |
| Gambling | Online betting and casinos | Off |
| Dating | Matchmaking and chat sites | Off |
| Drugs | Illegal substances information | Off |
| Weapons | Sales or manufacturing guides | Off |
| Social Media | Facebook, TikTok, and more | Off |
| Malware | Viruses and dangerous software | Off |
| Phishing | Sites that try to steal info | Off |
Curated lists, and honest about it.
Kinuvo uses reviewed lists of known sites for each category, updated by the Kinuvo team. Adult Content has the broadest list, covering major sites used around the world; regional coverage varies. Other categories, especially Weapons, Phishing and Malware, are smaller, targeted lists chosen for accuracy over size.
If a site isn’t on a list yet, you can block it yourself in seconds.
Block or allow any website.
Add a site as Blocked, even if no category covers it, or as Allowed, even if a category would block it. It covers the site’s subdomains too.
Every browser. Wi‑Fi and mobile data.
Protection runs on your child’s phone itself through Network Protection, a VPN that stays on the phone and that your child approves during setup. It works in every browser and app that looks up websites in the usual way, and keeps working offline with the lists it last downloaded.
We block. We don’t watch.
Kinuvo keeps no browsing history. It records only blocked attempts: the website’s name, the reason and the time. Repeat attempts within a few minutes count once, and records are deleted after 30 days. Kinuvo never sees page contents, full web addresses or searches.
What Kinuvo never collectsSee what was stopped, and why.
A report in your app lists the sites Web Protection blocked, the reason (the category, or “Blocked site” for your own list) and how often, for today, yesterday, or the last 7 or 30 days.
Recorded when a site is blocked
- The site’s name
- Why it was blocked
- When

- Sites that weren’t blocked
- Pages and full web addresses

Offline time for homework and sleep.
An Internet Schedule turns the internet off on your child’s phone at the times and days you choose, on both Wi‑Fi and mobile data. Apps that don’t need the internet keep working, and Kinuvo Kids stays connected, so your rule changes still arrive and SOS still gets through.
To end offline time early, switch the schedule off; the phone checks for changes more often while offline time is on. While a schedule is active, it overrides the sites you’ve allowed.
Good to know
Honest limits are part of trust.
- Web Protection blocks whole websites; it can’t block a single video, page or search.
- No list covers the whole internet; new or niche sites may need adding yourself.
- Some apps use their own private lookups, or connect without a website name, and may not be filtered.
- Networks that only use IPv6 haven’t been fully verified yet.
- Android allows one VPN at a time, so another VPN app on your child’s phone will conflict.
- There’s no instant one-tap “pause internet”; switch on a schedule that covers now.
- Internet Schedule affects your child’s phone only, not other devices at home.
